Our new programme of research internships, offered in partnership with NIHR Clinical Research Network South West Peninsula, will support people working in older adult social care to find out more about how research can improve the lives of the people they work with.
These internships are aimed at colleagues based in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall who work within and around care homes, extra care, or assisted living, and are funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
Internships are fully funded for up to 30 days or 225 hours, which can be taken flexibly over a 9-month period, and will include:
- A personalised package of training and development to fit your needs and interests
- Regular meetings with a research mentor from a local university
- Opportunities to meet other colleagues to share learning and opportunities, both locally and nationally
Applicants don’t need any previous research experience or specific level of education.
