What does Impact in Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement mean?
This is the third in a national series of webinars designed to strengthen conversations and methodological development around patient and public involvement (PPI), inclusive involvement, and co-production.
In this online session, William Lammons and colleagues will draw on a recently published narrative review of reviews exploring the impacts of PPIE. The discussion will introduce a four-part typology for describing impacts, as reported in the current literature, and will be illustrated with practical examples. Together with public collaborator Raj Mehta, William will reflect on the strengths and limitations of current approaches to describing impact, and what this means for researchers, PPIE professionals, and members of the public working in partnership.
The session will be chaired by Dr Kristin Liabo, PPIE Lead at PenARC, with facilitation from Dr Stan Papoulias, PPIE Theme Lead at ARC South London.
