Biography

Alex is a GP at Three Spires Surgery in Truro. He also works in a unit which looks at how patients can safely avoid admission to hospital. He is a PhD student at the University of Exeter examining how GPs handle uncertainty surrounding the diagnosis of cancer. He is interested in how doctors make diagnoses, and how to better make research evidence influence this process.

He is a tutor for the Making Sense of Evidence programme at PenARC, and has also tutored in evidence based medicine in British Columbia, Canada.
