Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement; Whole Systems Approach; Relationship Building
Kate has a joint role with PenARC and Health Innovation South West, to ensure alignment and identify opportunities, while providing a non-academic perspective, to help translate what commissioners want and need from research.
She is passionate about ensuring those with lived experiences have the opportunity to provide alternative viewpoints and insights, to inform and shape service provision that is relevant, meets real needs, and reflects their priorities.
Kate believes in the importance of networking and building relationships within communities, particularly in rural and coastal areas. Capitalising on these connections to ensure greater awareness and better dissemination of applied research activities and findings.
