Keira is a qualitative researcher with a strong background in anthropology working across projects related to health service improvement and transformation, health experiences and social justice. Her PhD thesis explored alternative modes of support for people experiencing mental distress who reject mainstream conventional NHS approaches to treatment.
She is exploring stroke care and why a specific treatment use is so uneven, tracing the decision- making processes and experiences of physicians involved in stroke care across different hospitals in order to co-produce a healthcare intervention based on machine learning.
