Lynne has been involved in PPI for over ten years, becoming a member of PenPEG in 2021.
For six years Lynne was a Public Governor of the RD&E Foundation Trust. She has reviewed Cancer Services for NHS England and was a patient member of the ERG (Expert Reference Group) for Older People Living with and beyond Cancer.
She has been involved in many research projects with various universities, the NIHR (National Institute for Health Research), Health and Care Research Wales, NCRI (National Cancer Research Institute), CRUK, Macmillan and Marie Curie.
Lynne is a Care Ambassador for Devon Carers, having cared for her husband for fifteen years. She is a public member of the BCI (Bowel Cancer Intelligence) Group with Oxford and Leeds Universities, a member of UseMyData and has a keen interest in palliative and End of Life Care, dementia, genomic research and the fast growing use of AI (artificial intelligence) in medical research and surgery.
