These 30 minute slots have been organised for you to give a 5 minute pitch about your research idea followed by an informal chat with members of the Peninsula Public Engagement Group (PenPEG). Members are keen to be more involved in early research development, so don’t worry if your idea is only half-formed.
This is not a slot for formal PowerPoint presentations or serious critique. It is literally a quick cuppa with a couple of PenPEG members where you discuss your research interests with someone you might not normally do that with. They might ask you questions that you hadn’t thought of; they might tell you how your idea is important from their perspective. Hopefully they will inspire you to develop your idea further, and talking to them might crystallise your interests into a researchable idea, with patient support to boot.
A member of the PenARC Patient & Public Involvement & Engagement (PPIE) team will be there as tech back-up and introductions – and they can always comment on any involvement ideas if there is time.
