The University of Plymouth Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry are looking to recruit a Research Fellow within PenCLAHRC. The post holder will work on a range of new and existing PenCLAHRC projects, as well as playing an active role in identifying new topic areas for development. Whilst this is envisaged as a full-time post, part-time and flexible working arrangements will be considered.
This post offers the opportunity for a Research Fellow to become part of the successful and enthusiastic Community and Primary Care Research Group (CPCRG), who are committed to improving public health and patient outcomes through innovative health research and implementation. CPCRG has a health services and social care research remit which is broadly defined, however, key areas focus on person-centred care, developing and evaluating complex interventions, engaging marginalised groups and application of innovative methodologies. The groups' research covers both adults and children and is conducted through the involvement of practitioners, and the public, who are instrumental in helping to develop focussed research questions and in designing projects.
Applications from individuals with a background in either complex care or person-centred care are desirable, but expertise in additional topic areas will also be welcomed.
Applicants will possess a relevant PhD or have equivalent qualifications in a related field of study. You will have excellent knowledge of UK health services/social care research sufficient to enable innovation and new understanding in the field and skills in the application of mixed methods to health services research. Skills in intervention development and evaluation and in using evidence synthesis and/or systematic reviews are desirable.
