Biography

Within my dual role working for both PenARC and the Community and Primary Care Research Centre I contribute to a variety of projects as a Research Centre Coordinator. I hold research expertise in complex project management, report writing, bid coordination and writing drafts of governance and PPI (Patient and Public Involvement) sections. Alongside this I also specialize in financial reporting and research contracting. As a part of some studies, I am key as a PPI lead, focusing on recruitment and the development of research participation of members of the public, drafting accessible materials as a part of this role. Holding experience of audio transcription, complex data entry and anonymization of data for research analysis also compliment my knowledge base as key transferable skills. Having worked as a researcher I have also developed an applied knowledge of coding, dissemination, research framework development and service mapping. I have set up and run Focus Groups and other Patient Involvement Forums and conducted interviews for data analysis. I hold an interest in mixed methods research and have over 27 years of experience of working within a university environment, including over 16 years working in an academic research team.
